Help a Child, Help a Family – Do a small thing that makes a big difference
Every item you donate will help a Finnish family with children struggling with everyday challenges. Your donation can be just the help that brings relief and joy to a family in a difficult situation.
How does our collection work?
When you see our collection, buy an extra item from the store that won’t spoil.
Bring it to our collection point.
We will deliver the donations to families with children in need.
Buy the extra product from the shop
We ask you to buy one extra item from the shop and bring it to our collection point at store. The donated items will be distributed to families with children in need.
Suitable donation items:
non-perishable dry food
canned food
hygiene products
baby supplies and toys
Lions Clubs run a Help a Child, Help a Family collection to support families with children in need in our area.
Lions are volunteer-based and do not seek to replace basic social services, but rather volunteer their time to help with needs that are not being met by public funds. This help can be very significant for small groups or individuals.
All Lions activities are carried out in the spirit of “We Serve”.
